Early patent of a Machine Revolver (Circa 2006). Layouts may vary.
A Machine Revolver is a Firearm based on the actions of an Automatic revolver but with the capabilities of rapid full-automatic fire. This concept is also intended as an alternative to the water jackets found on early machine guns, which would lack the effort of changing barrels on GPMGs during a heavy firefight in a battlefield environment. Although it appears, It must be noted that a Machine Revolver is NOT in any way related to the Gatling Gun and its derivatives as it is basically a General Purpose Machine Gun that changes its barrels/chambers for each shot.
